Job Description

Position: IT Officer/Developer (x1)

Location: Dar es Salaam – Tanzania
Gender: Any

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide timely support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and software (Windows/Linux, MS Office, browsers, apps); manage user accounts and password resets.
– Monitor and maintain web/mobile applications, assist with login issues, and escalate application bugs to the development team.
– Maintain and troubleshoot servers, routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity; perform basic network diagnostics.
– Monitor server health, execute backups, test restores, and apply security patches as needed.
– Enforce password policies, remove malware, and support ISO 27001 and cybersecurity compliance.
– Log support tickets, maintain hardware/software inventory, prepare reports, and liaise with vendors for repairs, warranties, and technical support.

What you need:
– Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
– At least 2–3 years of hands-on IT support experience (insurance/fintech environment is an advantage).
– Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, basic Linux commands, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS).
– Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools.
– Familiarity with web applications, APIs, and mobile app troubleshooting is a plus.
– Ability to work under pressure, especially during go-live and month-end peaks.
– Willingness to work occasional overtime or be on standby for critical issues.

What you get:
– Contract period: 1 year (Renewable)

Working Days/Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
Saturdays: 08:00 AM – 01:00 PM

NET Salary: can be negotiated
