Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist who is proficient in English to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, handling administrative tasks, and providing excellent customer service to visitors and clients. This role is suitable for individuals over the age of 25, regardless of gender, who are organized, courteous, and have strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Front Desk Management:
    • Greet and welcome visitors and clients with a positive and professional demeanor.
    • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  2. Administrative Support:
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier services.
    • Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area.
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and conference room bookings.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Assist visitors by providing accurate information and answering their queries.
    • Handle customer complaints and concerns with patience and professionalism.
  4. Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain visitor logs and manage access control for the building.
    • Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed.
  5. Office Coordination:
    • Coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth operations and communication within the office.
    • Support other administrative tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Age Requirement: Candidates must be 25 years of age or older.
  • Professional Appearance and Conduct: Must maintain a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using office software, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
