Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand growth and market share, including market analysis, product positioning, campaign development, and sales channel management, by leveraging consumer insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. This role demands creativity, strategic thinking, and a solid understanding of the FMCG market.
Responsibilities
• Prepare the annual Marketing Strategic Business Plan
• Develop effective communication briefs and direct marketing agencies to develop promotional materials and media to ensure relevant & memorable brand experiences
• Direct research agencies to conduct Qualitative and Quantitative Research to understand consumer behaviour and market trends and develop consumer portraits
• Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing strategies with business goals
• Manage brand equity and ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms & channels
• Develop and manage marketing budgets
• Analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and prepare reports
• Manage social media channels and digital marketing initiatives
• Organize events, exhibitions, and promotional activities to boost brand presence
• Monitor competitor activities and adjust marketing strategies accordingly
• Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to identify risks and opportunities
• Grow brand and desired equity of assigned product group and direct all marketing activities for the achievement of short and long term business Goal, Strategies, Action Plan, P &L and market spending and to ensure compliance and aligned with regulatory affairs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in FMCG marketing and end-to-end brand management preferably in the FMCG industry
• Strong analytical skills and experience in market research
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
• Excellent command of Swahili and English
