Job Title: Domestic Helper with Basic Indian Cooking Skills
Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a competent and reliable domestic helper with basic knowledge of Indian cooking to assist in household chores and meal preparation. The ideal candidate should be organized, diligent, and capable of managing various domestic tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- General Housekeeping:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all areas of the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces.
- Organize and arrange household items systematically.
- Laundry and Ironing:
- Wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes, linens, and other fabrics as needed.
- Follow proper laundry care instructions to ensure the longevity of clothing and linens.
- Meal Preparation:
- Prepare basic Indian dishes such as dal, rice, vegetables, and simple curries.
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by the employer or supervisor.
- Assist in kitchen tasks such as chopping vegetables, cooking rice, and making chapatis.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen while cooking.
- Grocery Shopping:
- Accompany the employer or independently purchase groceries and household supplies as required.
- Ensure timely replenishment of essential items to avoid shortages.
- Other Domestic Duties:
- Assist with pet care, if applicable.
- Help with occasional childcare or elderly care, if necessary.
- Perform other domestic tasks as assigned by the employer.
Qualifications:
- Basic Knowledge of Indian Cooking:
- Proficiency in cooking common Indian dishes such as dal, rice, vegetables, and curries.
- Familiarity with Indian spices and cooking techniques is preferred.
- Housekeeping Skills:
- Experience in performing household cleaning tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in various areas of the house.
- Reliability and Punctuality:
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous employment or commitments.
- Ability to adhere to schedules and fulfill duties in a timely manner.
- Communication and Adaptability:
