Job Description

Job Title: Real Estate Lawyer
Location: Zanzibar

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lawyer to join our team in Zanzibar, with a strong background in general legal practice and at least one year of focused experience in real estate law. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in the legal industry, hold a degree from a recognized law school, and be prepared to handle a range of legal matters, with an emphasis on real estate transactions, contracts, and property law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and services related to real estate transactions, including sales, leases, and property development.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

  • Represent clients in legal proceedings and real estate negotiations.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to property and land use in Zanzibar.

  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other legal professionals to facilitate successful outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law.

  • At least 1 year of experience specifically in real estate law.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction of Zanzibar or eligible for licensure.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
