Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations at our locations in Dodoma and Songea, Tanzania. The ideal candidate will bring 12–14 years of relevant accounting experience, be fluent in Swahili, and possess strong analytical, financial reporting, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Supervise accounting staff and provide leadership in financial planning and analysis.

Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial insights for management decision-making.

Ensure timely closing of books and accurate reconciliation of all accounts.

Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Oversee internal and external audits and ensure timely submission of tax filings.

Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Implement internal controls and recommend financial process improvements.

Travel between Dodoma and Songea as required.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting with an MBA in Finance.

12–14 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Strong knowledge of IFRS and local Tanzanian accounting standards is an advantage.

Fluency in Swahili is mandatory.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to relocate within 15 days of offer acceptance.
