Job Description
Job Requirements:
● Education : Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
● Acknowledge RFQ form the client
● Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies.
● Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
● Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
● Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
● Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on
the quotes.
● Generating quotes after the comparison, obtaining approval from the management and
submitting to the clients.
● Conduct checks on documentation & deadline required for quoting & special
requirements.
● Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.● Examine and test existing contracts.
● Sending Expression of Interest for tender advertisement from the newspaper as per
management’s advice on participation.
● Responding to customer queries in a timely and accurate way, via phone, email or chat.
● Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
● Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of
the company
● Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
● Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
● Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
● Control spends and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
● Daily reporting to the management on RFQ status report.
● Might have to travel, not on a frequent basis.
Skills :
● Experience of 2-5 Years in Procurement, Contracting in General/Hardware Trading.
● Very Good Knowledge of Global Procurement, Import goods costing (Landed Cost)
● Good English written and spoken, High Computer skills
● Self-driven and proactive
Gross Salary Per Month :
1. Sourcing Manager : USD 800 – USD 1300
Job Location : Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Terms :
1. Contract Period : 2 years (Renewable)
2. Food : Will be managed by candidates
3. Accommodation, Joining Ticket, Return Ticket, Visa : Will be Provided by Client
4. Working hours/days : Monday to Friday – 8 hours, Saturday – 5 hours
5. Eligible Nationalities :
● Sourcing Manager – Philippine or Indians
