Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) Officer with a strong and proven background in the maize sector. This is a key role in our agribusiness operations in Tanzania, offering an exciting opportunity to lead maize supply chain activities and work with a dedicated team in a growing agricultural company. Candidates with maize industry experience will be given first priority.

Location: Tanzania   Number of position : 9

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the maize supply chain is required
(Only candidates with maize sector background will be considered)

Salary:

Very attractive and competitive, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the entire maize supply chain, from procurement and storage to logistics and distribution

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with maize farmers, aggregators, and regional suppliers

  • Coordinate efficient movement of maize from rural collection points to central warehouses and client locations

  • Oversee procurement planning aligned with crop cycles and market demand

  • Monitor inventory levels and manage warehouse operations in line with best practices

  • Ensure quality control, traceability, and compliance with national standards

  • Analyze supply chain performance and continuously improve operations

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture, or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain roles specific to the maize sector (MANDATORY)

  • In-depth understanding of Tanzania’s maize production, market trends, and rural sourcing dynamics

  • Experience in logistics coordination, vendor management, and procurement in the agriculture space

  • Strong data analysis and ERP/software skills for inventory and procurement management

  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication abilities
